We have a multisite installation. It was initially an attempt to foster and capture information/knowledge sharing among faculty. The idea was to use the WordPress Sitewide Tags Pages plugin to collate all authors’ posts on one page. This allowed each faculty member to have control over his or her own blog/site, while allowing users to browse the entire msunblogs site by tags. Unfortunately, it never took off among faculty. There is growing interest among faculty in student blogging so the site will probably have an identity makeover in the near future.
